Welcome to the world of finicky eating - thanks to our fabulous favorite, the fluffy feline.

Kingly, queenly, and divinely sweet, the cat eats like a prince or princess mostly likely because they have very special digestive systems that require a diet chosen with care.

The require a higher level of fat and protein in their food than dogs, and they are subject to urinary tract and kidney problems when their foods contain low quality ingredients.

When you feed your cat yummy deliciousness, she will purr with delight and devour the tidbits with gusto.

She is fully capable of exhibiting the most discminating of tastes.

You can prepare your own cat food using the best of ingredients at a very affordable price.

We have to mention one of our favorite pet food providers - Honest Kitchen. They have a very nutritious natural pet food that's made of human grade vegetables and meats, low heat processed, some of which can be considered, raw.

The only minor problem - expense. It can be quite expensive to get the very best!

Also, any time you buy pet foods, try to check the dates so that they are as fresh as possible.

Low usage of preservatives mean higher risk of oxidation, rancidity which not only hurts the nose, but can lead to serious medical problems including cancer.

Freshness is key.

Also, cats need a constant supply of fresh clean water. A good supply of clean high quality filtered water can help protect from urinary issues.

Cats do love some raw meat goodies. Be sure to only provide organic raw food.

A good way to prepare raw food is to heat a pot of boiling water and submerge the meat into the water for 15 - 30 seconds. The boiling water will kill most all of the pathogens on the outside surfaces of the meat, while the inside remains raw.

Pathogens are more likely to be on the surfaces of meat. This ofcouse does not apply to ground meat.

You can freeze your meat at very low temperatures for a prolonged period of time which can kill parasites and some organisms.

Be sure to talk to your veterinarian for more suggestions and advice - he or she is the expert.

We have seen so much value from providing your pet with high quality food.

We will offer some terrific home made recipes, soon!

Meanwhile, we have the best success with the following brands of cat food:

Dick Van Pattens Ultra Premium Catfood Honest Kitchen in San Diego Organic and Cleanly Processed Raw Pet food

You can use teaspoons of delicious canned food to create a "gravy" for their dry food with several tablespoons of water. This way, they get liquid with their food which is beneficial when they are on a diet of dry kibble.

Back soon - love to your kitty(s)! : )
